About the Company         

apree health – the new name for the joint Castlight Health and apree health merger – is seeking an experienced healthcare data scientist to join our Analytics team.  apree health is a healthcare company entering an exciting new growth phase where we are adding new product offerings to our employer vertical, along with continued expansion into sectors such as health plans and the provider (clinical) side of healthcare.         

About the Team         

The Analytics team is a group of highly skilled analytic resources who work together toward a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.  Our team uses a diverse array of healthcare and product usage data to provide analytic insights that support the entire organization, including Customer Success, Product Management, Sales and Marketing, and direct patient-care teams delivering Advanced Primary Care.

 As an Analytics Director, Clinical Solutions you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in the continued development and support of analytics for clinical operations, customer success, sales, and other groups across the company. Your leadership and guidance for our talented team is critical in directing and coordinating design and implementation of analytics, tools and related processes.  The ideal candidate is one who is deeply passionate about supporting a data driven culture, loves the complexity of healthcare claims, EMR and financial data and can help create meaningful actionable insights.

Position Qualifications/Essential Functions:

  • Cultivate an informatics discipline to maximize understanding and metrics-based improvement in clinical effectiveness, quality and patient satisfaction.
  • Ability to lead and drive the design and development of actionable metrics and reports across a cross-functional team of stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor informatics team members (Data Analysts, Data Scientists, SQL Developers, BI/Reporting) in terms of business intelligence direction, future planning and application/database support and enhancement practices
  • Manage prioritization of projects and sustainment activities of informatics team.
  • Ensure reported performance, reliability and scalability issues are prioritized and resolved in timely manner
  • Build and maintain relationships across Vera teams to ensure that team’s goals are achieved, and tools/informatics are adopted and used effectively
  • Participate in stakeholder and project meetings and presentations
Additional Qualifications Preferred
  • Minimum 5-10 years of leading clinical informatics, business intelligence teams, management of reporting and tools development
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience managing EMR, Healthcare Claims and cost data, HEIDIS/Star reporting
  • Good knowledge of Tableau or similar reporting tools
  • Good knowledge of statistical analysis methods
  • Good understanding of data visualization techniques
  • Experience with Optum Analytics tools such as Performance Analytics, Impact Intelligence, Impact Pro, or Optum One a plus.
Education/Experience:
  • MBA, MHA or Healthcare Informatics Leadership or other healthcare related degree is required
  • Healthcare industry experience required; knowledge of business intelligence and financial analysis
  • Good knowledge of statistics
  • Working knowledge of Medical Terminology, Current Procedural Coding (CPT, HCPCS), Diagnostic Coding (ICD-10), and HIPAA ANSI codes is preferred
  • Prior experience of working as a RN, ARNP would be a plus but not required

Compensation:  $180k-$230k/annual salary & bonus eligible (national average, premium markets may vary)
