As VP of Product & Design - Mapping, you'll lead a transformative approach in product, design, and user experience, harmonizing technical skills with strategic leadership to revolutionize our mapping applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead user-experience and product-design efforts, ensuring high-quality product delivery.
  • Facilitate work sessions with product teams and users to define design goals and requirements.
  • Conduct competitive audits for design inspiration and ideas for the current design process.
  • Produce superior graphics and visual components for our mapping applications.
  • Create prototypes to demonstrate intended end-user experiences and key interactions.
  • Conduct user research using field observations, interviews, surveys, and usability testing to inform and validate product design.
  • Transform user experience and develop innovative business models for mapping applications.
  • Drive organization-wide design standardization and represent design at the executive level.
  • Build and develop a small  design team.
  • Represent our mapping brand in public engagements.
Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in the field, with a profound passion for developing and innovating in mapping and cartographic interfaces and applications.
  • A keen sense of design, with a strong focus on software applications and brand aesthetics.
  • Proven ability in identifying and building strong talent within a design and product-focused team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at conveying ideas across the organization to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and project management abilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Proficiency in GIS programming, scripting, and using advanced software for geospatial analysis.
  • Advanced cartography skills for creating detailed and visually compelling maps.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive user research and integrate findings into design practices.

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $200,000 to $240,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and more. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
