Infrastructure/Operations Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The Infrastructure/Operations Engineer will play a crucial role in building infrastructure capabilities for our platform. This includes activities such as publishing reference implementations in CloudFormation/CDK, developing scalable and resilient capabilities, and supporting Business-as-Usual requests. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for deploying approved security configurations, monitoring the platform, and managing incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build infrastructure capabilities.
• Develop and publish reference implementations in CloudFormation/CDK to support platform enhancements.
• Implement infrastructure components that promote scalability, resiliency, and supportability.
• Support Business-as-Usual requests and assist with the deployment of approved security configurations.
• Monitor platform performance, conduct incident management, and ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay current with AWS services, best practices, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Infrastructure/Operations Engineer, with a focus on AWS environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing principles and AWS services.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation or CDK.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and ELK stack.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
