Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with over 10+ years of relevant experience to lead our efforts in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, high-performance cloud-based applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and data engineering, with a proven track record of delivering reliable and efficient software delivery pipelines in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Cloud and Kafka Management:**

- Design and deploy Kafka clusters using Confluent Cloud, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

- Develop real-time data processing pipelines, facilitating seamless data integration across various sources and sinks.

- **Kubernetes and Continuous Delivery:**

- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, utilizing Helm for application deployment and configuration.

- Implement automated deployment strategies using Harness, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.

- **CI/CD Pipeline Engineering:**

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, integrating automated testing and deployment processes.

- Work closely with development teams to incorporate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.

- **Database Systems Optimization:**

- Design, implement, and manage database solutions using Google BigQuery, MySQL, XtraDB, AWS Aurora, etc.

- Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity through effective replication, migration, and backup strategies.

- **Agile Project Leadership:**

- Lead agile development processes, ensuring continuous improvement through regular sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, deliverables, and timelines.

- **Multi-cloud Infrastructure Management:**

- Architect and manage solutions across various cloud platforms, focusing on efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness.

- Evaluate and adopt new cloud technologies and practices to enhance infrastructure performance and resilience.

Technical Skills:

- Proficient in Confluent Cloud and Apache Kafka, with a strong understanding of streaming data architectures.

- Advanced knowledge in Kubernetes, including cluster management and Helm chart development.

- Experienced in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins.

- Expertise in managing database systems like Google BigQuery, MySQL, XtraDB, and AWS Aurora.

- Familiar with multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

- Strong background in agile development methodologies.

Certifications (Preferred):

- Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
