Job Description

The Office of the Secretary of the Interior, Deputy Assistant Secretary - Management, Office of Human Capital Management (OHCM) is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to serves as an advisor to Indian Affairs leadership in the areas of recruitment and placement, and classification. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for onboarding, processing personnel actions, and managing security and follow-up.

Qualifications
GS-13:

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing of the following: 1) Interpreting and applying Federal human resources staffing and recruitment and classification principles, practices, laws, and regulations related to Title V regulations; 2) Experience using USA Staffing or an equivalent database to create vacancy announcements; 3) Experience determining qualifications and issuing certs; 4) Experience using USA Staffing or equivalent database to on-board selectees; 5) Experience interpreting and applying classification policies and associated pay and compensation policies to determine their effect from a classification perspective; 6) Reviewing, coding and processing personnel actions in FPPS or equivalent database; 7) Experience providing strategic HR management advisory services to resolve HR issues, that impact the workforce, and legal implications specific to daily operations and personnel practices.
