Business Development Representative – Software – Remote – US

We are actively seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative – Software to join our team in the US. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the account development process, combining the skills of a "Hunter/Farmer" to acquire new leads, nurture client relationships, and successfully close sales. This role also involves collaborating with the Strategic Account Managers, leveraging social media, and actively participating in industry conferences to expand our client base and establish a strong presence in the market.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere in the US, working in a remote work model or from any of our offices in North America!

 

What your day will look like:

  • Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers to take receipt of leads and effectively follow up on potential sales opportunities
  • Implement strategic cold outreach techniques to initiate and nurture relationships with potential clients
  • Close sales by addressing client needs and demonstrating how our products align with their objectives
  • Proactively engage with existing clients, providing updates on new features and functionalities
  • Convince clients to renew contracts through effective communication and showcasing ongoing value
  • Continuously nurture client relationships to strengthen loyalty and minimize churn
  • Oversee the training and onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and comprehensive understanding of our offerings
  • Create content for all stages of the buyer's journey, supporting client education and product adoption
  • Act as a representative at conferences, fostering partnerships and expanding the company's network
  • Leverage social media platforms and blogs to promote our products and engage with potential clients
  • Solicit testimonials and reviews from satisfied clients to build credibility and trust

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; experience and education may be substituted for one another
  • 3+ years of proven experience in Account Management, ideally within a software sales environment
  • Proven track record as an Account Representative, Sales Representative, or in a related client-facing sales role
  • Experience with the selling of products/services to government agencies at the local, state, or federal levels
  • Solid understanding of lead generation and cold outreach techniques
  • Demonstrated success in utilizing conferences as a platform for client acquisition
  • Experience in conducting effective product demonstrations and closing sales
  • Demonstrated success in penetrating new markets, showcasing the ability to identify, target, and successfully enter previously untapped segments
  • Travel required as and when needed across North America
  • Salesforce Associate certificate
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
