Director Solutions Engineering - Enterprise AMER
***This is a remote role based out of United States or Canada*
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a team of sales engineers and SE managers who serve as our core product introduction, evaluation and education experts
- Coordinate cross functional dotted line resources to achieve your team goals
- Partner with sales leadership to achieve regional quota and consumption targets and ensure customer success
- Provide guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy, product obstacles/gaps and represent the team’s needs to executive staff
- Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions
- Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with product, engineering, sales, marketing and services
- Play an active role in sourcing and screening potential candidates and managing the entire interview process
- Act as a player/coach working with your team on and delivering compelling presentations to customers and prospects
- Innovate and implement strategies that will uplevel your teams skills
- Provide ongoing mentorship to SE Managers and SEs to teach technical and non-technical pre-sales techniques for securing new clients, managing customers, and account expansion to support upsell
- Continually assess and develop technical capabilities of each team member to ensure each SE reaches and maintains required technical knowledge to effectively perform their pre-sales duties
- Provide periodic performance reviews, assess skill sets, handle personal issues, and provide personal/professional development opportunities.
- Deliver sales presentations, present technical information about Cribl’s products and services, and conduct product demonstrations
- Collaborate with Sales management to identify opportunities to improve upon and standardize best practices in SE/SR relationship
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in presentations in person, via telephone, and through remote conferencing with executive level customers, direct reports, and the Cribl Leadership Team
- Ability to teach ways to identify new and existing opportunities through basic consultative selling methodology
- A history of successfully leading a technical pre-sales team that drives target attainment
- Must be able to lead a team and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual quota requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent AND 3-5 years of experience in a customer facing role OR equivalent combination or education and experience

- Proven self-starter with a motivated attitude to be able to manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a pleasant and professional attitude towards customers and co-workers.
Salary Range ($123,500 - $217,600)
The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus.
