Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Roku and Brightscript Developer with over 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Roku channels and applications, ensuring high performance and quality. This role requires a deep understanding of Roku platform capabilities, Brightscript programming, and OTT industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Maintain Roku Channels: Design, develop, and maintain Roku channels and applications using Brightscript, SceneGraph, and Roku SDK.
Code Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to create seamless user experiences.
Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Integration: Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance channel functionality.
Version Control: Utilize version control systems like Git for source code management.
Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Roku and Brightscript technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in developing Roku channels and applications.
Programming Languages: Proficient in Brightscript, SceneGraph, and Roku SDK.
OTT Platforms: Experience with Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms and streaming services.
UI/UX Design: Knowledge of UI/UX principles specific to Roku applications.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Additional Languages: Familiarity with other programming languages like JavaScript or Python is a plus.
Certifications: Roku certification or relevant industry certifications.
Experience with Other Platforms: Experience developing for other OTT platforms (e.g., Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV) is advantageous.
