Job Description

We are hiring at Pimsoft for a Project Consultant to join our growing international team!

We are looking for a Project Consultant with a passion for technology to join our Delivery Team.

The Project Consultant is a professional working in the Professional Services team, both within the Application Management team, supporting our customers with corrective and evolutive maintenance and in implementation projects of our systems. They are expected to learn the use of systems and tools used in our company.

The successful Project Consultant will have the opportunity to work in an international company, a leader in data validation and reconciliation systems for the process industry and make an impact for our clients across the world. The Project Consultant will be able to learn and develop a variety of skills working in a friendly, dynamic, and multicultural environment in a role that is most appropriate for them, based on their background and experience.

The successful candidate can be anywhere in Italy working in a remote work model!

Their responsibilities may include the following:

  • Manage customer queries through the ticketing system
  • Support customers via phone and email
  • Identify applicative or system issues by checking logs and troubleshooting
  • Apply fixes and workarounds
  • Follow-up on customer requests
  • Estimate and implement changes to system configurations
  • Test bug fixes and new functionalities of applications in test environments
  • Install and configure new systems from scratch
  • Upgrade and enhance existing systems
  • Report errors to the Developer Team or Partner Vendors Support
  • Collect customer requirements and develop design specifications
  • Implement models, reports and interfaces and conduct validation and test sessions with users
  • Deliver training sessions to users
  • Support sales with developing technical proposals, estimates and demos

About You:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM-related field is essential
  • Previous experience in Project Consulting is essential
  • Strong computer knowledge, analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills
  • The desire and ability to learn quickly and work within a complex and challenging technical environment
  • An attention to detail and a desire to deliver high-quality work
  • Goal oriented
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Motivated to learn, develop, and grow
  • Working proficiency in Italian and English, both written and verbal
  • Additional European languages are highly advantageous
  • At least a professional level of Italian and English is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in Italy

Nice to have knowledge or experience in the following:

  • Process Industries
  • Mass and Energy Balance
  • Process Historian (Aveva OSIsoft PI)
  • Production Accounting and Data Reconciliation (PADR)
  • C#, SQL, JavaScript, VB.NET, MS SQL Reporting Services and Web Services
  • Additional languages advantageous
